Relationship Manager (North Carolina)

Under the direction of the Corporate Revenue Officer, the Relationship Manager is responsible for owning, managing, and growing a defined portfolio of client relationships as well as identifying and engaging prospects across North Carolina.
Confluent Strategies is a strategic partner to organizations that extend credit—including financial institutions, auto dealerships, retailers, and other consumer and commercial credit grantors. Our Relationship Managers differentiate themselves by being in front of clients regularly, listening deeply, understanding their goals, and providing consultative guidance via the Equifax suite of data, analytics, and solutions.
The Relationship Manager will:
- Build and deepen trusted partnerships through frequent engagement
- Treat the territory like their own business
- Identify opportunities by understanding client challenges, credit strategies, and industry trends
- Collaborate with internal experts to deliver meaningful insights and recommendations

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Maintain and grow an inherited portfolio of existing client relationships across multiple credit-granting industries
- Build strong, trusted partnerships through consistent in-person and virtual engagement
- Understand client credit decisioning processes, business objectives, and risk considerations
- Act as a strategic advisor by recommending Equifax-based solutions aligned with client needs
- Develop and manage territory and account plans with discipline and organization
- Identify new opportunities within assigned territory through consultative discovery and networking
- Prepare and deliver strategic presentations on products, services, and industry insights
- Manage sales pipeline, forecasting, and reporting within CRM and analytics tools
- Collaborate with marketing, analytics, leadership, and Equifax product specialists to support client strategies
- Represent Confluent Strategies at industry conferences, trade events, and client meetings
- Address client concerns, objections, and escalations with professionalism and urgency
- Stay current on credit, risk, fraud, compliance, and data analytics trends
- Provide exceptional customer service and long-term relationship management
- Travel required

- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools; experience with Power BI or Tableau are a plus
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in business, finance, information technology, or related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in consultative sales or relationship management
- Experience working with credit-granting organizations such as banks, credit unions, auto dealerships, retailers, or lenders preferred
- Previous territory or portfolio management experience strongly preferred
